Lynxia Go Guest Privacy

1. Information We Collect

We do NOT collect any vital information from guests on the create.go.lynxia.org page. However, we MUST temporarily store some information about the user's device on our server.

  • IP Address: We store the user's IP address for legal reasons and to protect our property. Should a violation of our basic rules occur with an IP address, we reserve the right to exclude that IP address from our service at any time.
  • Destination Link and Short Link: We naturally also store the link you shortened in order to enable our service in the first place.

For Users Who Use Short Links:

We store the following information from users who scan the QR code:

  • The IP address is stored for threat prevention and the prosecution of legal violations for a period of 90 days and is then deleted or anonymized.
  • Device Data: We store which devices scanned the QR code. Also for possible data analysis purposes.

Lynxia Screenshot

1. Creating Screenshots and Synchronization Settings

Users have the option to fully enable or disable online synchronization during the initial setup of the app as well as at any time afterwards in the settings.

  • With synchronization disabled: No image files are uploaded to the servers. In this case, only the file name (including the name assigned by the user) and the assigned category of the screenshot are recorded on the Lynxia servers. This minimal collection of metadata is technically necessary so that all data is immediately and seamlessly available to the user in the event of later activation of synchronization.
  • With synchronization enabled: In addition to the metadata (name and category), the actual image file is also stored on the Lynxia servers to make it available across devices and to enable sharing via link.

2. Online Storage of Screenshots on the Lynxia Servers

As soon as a screenshot is uploaded, it is stored on the Lynxia servers. Access to this file is restricted by default: Only the creating user themselves and persons in possession of the direct sharing link can view the screenshot. The user has the option to remove the screenshot from the servers at any time. Upon deletion, the file is immediately and completely removed from the systems.

3. Storage Location and Technical Security of Synchronized Screenshots

The storage and hosting of synchronized screenshots takes place on servers in Frankfurt am Main (Germany).

Note on Encryption: Images are stored on the server without end-to-end encryption (Non-E2EE). To still ensure the protection of your data, the exact storage location (the URL) of the image file is heavily obfuscated to prevent unauthorized access or automated guessing of image links by third parties. Data transmission between the app and the server also takes place via secure transport encryption (HTTPS).
