Installation Guide: Lynxia Screenshot App

Follow these steps to install and set up the Lynxia Screenshot App on your Windows system.

System Requirements

• Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
• Free Storage Space: approx. 150 MB
• Active Internet Connection: (for cloud features and updates)

Step 1: Download Installation File

1. Visit the download page lynxia.org/screenshot-app in your web browser.
2. Click the download button to save the setup file for Windows.

Step 2: Run Installation

1. Open your download folder and start the downloaded file with a double-click.
2. If the Windows User Account Control asks, confirm the execution with "Yes."
3. Read and accept the End User License Agreement (EULA) to continue with the installation.
4. Select the installation path if needed and click "Install."
5. Wait briefly until the installation bar completes. Check "Start Lynxia Screenshots" and click "Finish."

Step 3: Initial Setup (Setup Wizard)

When you first start the app, the setup wizard opens automatically. This guides you through the basic configuration in a few steps:

Performance Analysis

The app performs a short, anonymous hardware analysis to determine CPU, graphics card, and RAM. This helps adapt the app perfectly to your system performance.

Startup

Decide whether Lynxia should start discreetly in the background as soon as you boot your computer.

Screenshot Settings

• Activate or deactivate the fullscreen and area screenshot functions.
• Set your preferred keyboard shortcuts (Default: F12 for fullscreen, Ctrl + Shift + S for screen snippets).
• Select which monitor should be photographed by default.
• Determine the local folder path where your recordings should be saved.

Cloud Upload & Data Security

• Decide whether captured images should be automatically uploaded to your private cloud (the link is copied directly to your clipboard).
• Optionally activate the storage saver mode to automatically delete local screenshots from your hard drive after successful upload.

Completion

Click "Complete Setup." The app minimizes to the Windows system tray (bottom right next to the clock) and is ready to use immediately.
